1. b-Vibe Rimming Plug: Best Overall

Why we love b-Vibe Rimming Plug:

The b-Vibe Rimming Plug does an excellent job of putting a twist on a classic vibrating butt plug design, with rotating beads that mimic a rim job. This remote-controlled plug comes in three different sizes, petite, medium, and XL. The petite size, which is what we tested (you can see me measuring the size in the image above), is technically created to be beginner-friendly, but I will say it’s on the medium side. Though with enough lube and patience, all of our testers found this plug worth the extra effort of inserting.

Everything about this toy screams quality, and despite being on the pricier side at $159.99, you really feel like you’re getting what you paid for. After testing the b-Vibe rimming plug, it quickly became my new favorite, and I would absolutely rebuy it if need be. You can see its remote control in the image below

That being said, it is an investment piece, so be intentional about choosing the right size. The silicone butt plug has a wonderful flex that really allows the sensation of the rimming beads to shine through. I also loved that the beads alone had over 7 settings options to choose from. Unlike other rotating beads that I’ve tested out, I also didn’t find the noise of the beads to be too off-putting, though I wouldn’t consider this a ‘whisper-quiet’ toy.

The wireless remote made sifting through the 7 vibration and rimming patterns and 6-speed options incredibly easy. Using the b-Vibe Rimming Plug sans remote  was also fairly intuitive, though the single button on the toy’s base (circled in the image below) was sometimes too easy to press. On more than one occasion, I accidentally pressed it, causing me to lose my perfect vibe and rimming combination and have to start from scratch.

As expected from a high-quality toy like this, it is rechargeable via a USB charging port (image above). I loved that on its lowest setting, the battery lasted over 4.5 hours, well over the user guide’s estimated battery life.

Minor issues we found during testing:

Though all-in-all, we loved the b-Vibe Rimming Plug, we did have a couple of qualms. Mainly that I wish I could control the vibrations and rimming sensation separately. The sensation of the rimming beads is the selling point of this toy, and I found that sometimes they were overshadowed by the anal vibrations. If you want more customization options, Hot Octopuss PleX with flex is a better option (review here).

And though this butt plug is splash-proof, it isn’t waterproof. This meant that I couldn’t take it into the bath, and also makes it more difficult to clean since you have to be careful about not fully submerging the base.

Any beginners looking for their first-time toy will be well served testing out the Lovehoney Butt Tingler. A small toy with a simple design that packs a surprisingly mean punch! The quality was the first thing that struck me after unpacking this budget-friendly anal plug! For only $26.99, the Lovehoney Butt Tingler actually felt very durable in hand, and the outer latex finish was super supple and smooth to the touch.

Unlike most other vibrating butt plugs, the Tingler has the unique design of a hollowed-out butt plug with a cylindrical bullet vibrator that can be added and removed as desired. I always appreciate innovative ideas that add to a toy’s versatility and even enjoyed the toy’s design enough to use it sans-vibrator.

This plug also comes in 3 different sizes, and I found the smallest size to be incredibly easy to insert. It provided a delightful stretch but was also small enough not to be uncomfortable during extended wear – especially thanks to the t-shaped base (image above). Despite its relatively small size, it delivered surprisingly strong vibrations! That being said, because it uses a single AAA battery, it’s important not to skimp on dollar-store batteries and instead invest in a high-quality battery that can deliver power (you can see the battery compartment in the image below). Minor issues found during testing:

Although I only had very minor issues with the Lovehoney Butt Tingler, there are some design features that I would change.

First and foremost is not USB-rechargeable, as I find that battery-powered toys – and especially those drawn from a single AAA battery, aren’t able to supply the vibration strength I’m used to.

I also found that the button – although easy to press, stuck out too far from the toy. During solo and partner play, I found myself accidentally turning the toy on and off or changing its settings whenever I switched positions.

First and foremost, because of this toy’s shape and design, our prostate-endowed panel members struggled to use it for prostate stimulation.

This is also a very app-centric plug that requires wifi in order to access most of its best features. So if you plan to use it sans-app or are often without a wifi connection, finding something remote-controlled will be a better fit.

My first impression of the Loki Wave was just how eye-catching the packaging was(image above). If you plan on purchasing this prostate massager as a gift, rest assured your recipient won’t be disappointed.

Designed to stimulate both the prostate and perineum, the LELO Loki Wave immediately stood out for the number of combinations that can be created with both the internal and external arms of the toy. The come-hither motion of the internal arm (intended to replicate the sensation of fingering) was definitely this toy’s selling feature and negated any need to thrust against the toy to reach a deep orgasm.

However, much of this toy’s heavy lifting is done by the external arm (image above), designed to rest soundly against the perineum. The vibration spectrum ranged from light to deep and rumbly, and many reviewers reported using the toy with the internal arm switched off, leaving them to enjoy a perineum-dominant orgasm.

All-in-all, our test panel didn’t have many bad things to say about the LELO Loki Wave. However, they felt this luxury purchase would have been completed with either a remote or an app. It can be tricky to adjust the settings, especially if you deal with limited mobility.

They also would have loved the option to adjust the speed of the come-hither motion, as the movement is constant should you choose to use it. Though, everyone agreed that none of these grievances were deal breakers, more mild annoyances.

6. Lovehoney Curved: Best Anal Dildo

Why we love Lovehoney Curved:

Looking at the Lovehoney Curved, you might not think that it’s anything special. But what this simple plug lacks in pizzazz, it more than makes up for in the design. When unboxing this anal sex toy, I wasn’t immediately blown away. As you can see in the image above, it came in a very ordinary box with nothing inside except the plug – there wasn’t even so much as a user manual!

But immediately after using it, I was impressed by the amount of pleasure I could experience from such a simple dildo. Although on the outside, there isn’t much to see, this toy is surprisingly well thought out, and the toy’s slight curve made it ideal for both g-spot and p-spot stimulation (image below), depending on how you choose to use it.

First and foremost, the relatively small size and super smooth body make it ideal for first-timers and folks in the market for anal dildos that they can use for pegging. The length and thinness are just right, allowing you to use the plug with a minimal warm-up, and the lack of texture makes it more comfortable for extended play.

Unlike many other plugs and dildos that taper at the bottom, the Lovehoney Curved gradually gets larger toward the base, making it an ideal choice for anal training toys as well. Another sneaky feature offered by this anal dildo is the option to turn it into a vibrating anal plug toy via a small hole in the base (circled in the image below) that’s perfectly sized for a simple bullet vibrator.

Also found at the base is a suction cup allowing hands-free play. Whether alone or with a partner, I found this feature opened the door to more imaginative masturbation and the opportunity to do plenty of other things with my hands. It’s also worth mentioning that this base pairs well with a harness if that’s more your thing.

Minor issues we found during testing:

Minus the underwhelming experience I had opening the box to this toy, there isn’t much I would change about the Lovehoney Curved.

It is worth mentioning, though, that this isn’t the toy for size queens. The relatively small size is ideal for beginners and folks who don’t need a ton of girth but definitely isn’t enough to blow anyone’s tops.

The design of the base is also such that you’re unable to use the toy’s suction cup feature in unison with a bullet vibrator, as the end of the vibe sticks out too far. If this is important for you, this guide has many more good anal dildo toys with suction cups.

Though similar to other realistic dildos on the market, the Big Shot has a feature that makes it true to its name: the ability to shoot fluids! Needless to say, I was excited to see what this toy had to offer.

The selling point of this toy is the ejaculation features, so needless to say, I was excited to see how it worked! Although the toy didn’t come with instructions, setting it up was fairly intuitive, so it only took a few minutes (instructions would have been a nice touch, though). You can see the warranty card in the image below.

Despite being marketed as an ejaculation dildo, the vibrations were strong and rumbly, and there was a surprising amount to choose from! Cycling through the 10 vibration settings and controlling the ejaculation feature was extremely easy, as there are only 2 buttons to choose from.
